If you've decided your next car is an Audi, you'll need to figure out how to pay for it before you can hit the road.

Audi leasing vs PCP: What are the

differences?

Leasing and PCP are both popular ways to get behind the wheel of a new Audi without paying the full price upfront, but they work quite differently once you look at the details.

Ownership: With leasing, you never own the car - you're paying to use it for a fixed term. With PCP, you have the option to buy the car outright at the end by paying a final "balloon" payment.

Monthly payments: Lease payments are usually lower than PCP because you're only covering the vehicle's depreciation over the term, with no ownership option built in.

Interest rates: Leasing typically uses a simpler rental structure, while PCP includes an interest rate (APR) applied to the finance amount, similar to a loan.

Early termination: Ending a lease early can involve set fees depending on the contract, while PCP agreements often allow voluntary termination once you've paid 50% of the total amount payable.

Equity: Leasing offers no equity since you never own the car. PCP can leave you with equity if the car's market value at the end is higher than the balloon payment.

Which option is right for you: Leasing or PCP?

If you like driving a new car every few years, want lower monthly payments, and don't want the hassle of selling a car at the end of your agreement, leasing is usually the better fit. If you want the flexibility to own the car outright eventually, or you're not sure yet whether you'll want to keep it, PCP gives you that choice at the end of the agreement.
