How Audi Leasing Works
If you’re looking for a new luxury car distinguishable by its cutting-edge engineering and sophisticated design, an Audi could be just what you’re looking for.
Not only that, if you want the advantages of driving a brand-new Audi without the long-term financial commitment of ownership, we’re here to tell you that yes, you can have your cake and eat it – by choosing to lease a new Audi rather than buy one.
At Let’sTalk Leasing, we lease a wide range of Audi models, from the sporty A5 to the spacious Q5.

How does Audi leasing work?
If you’ve never leased a car before, the most important thing to get your head around is how the lease contract works.
Here at Let’sTalk Leasing, we keep things as transparent and straightforward as possible.
Let’s look at the key terms outlined in a leasing contract:
Contract duration: When you take out a lease agreement with us, you choose the duration. Most leases are either 24, 36, or 48 months long. Usually, the longer your lease is, the lower your monthly payments are.
Mileage allowance: You will also need to agree a mileage limit with us at the start of your contract. Mileage allowances usually range from about 8,000 to 30,000 miles per year, depending on your commute and lifestyle. It’s important to agree on a realistic allowance, as you’ll be charged an excess mileage fee if you go over the limit.
Fees: Your contract will also outline how much you will pay each month, as well as any additional fees, including the initial rental, charges for excess mileage, and any add-ons you’ve selected, including vehicle customisations and maintenance packages. At Let'sTalk Leasing, we offer free delivery to mainland UK and no admin fee.
How are my initial rental fee and monthly lease payments calculated?
As well as fixed, monthly payments, you’ll also be charged a one-off upfront initial rental fee when you sign an Audi lease agreement.
The amount you pay upfront is flexible, but it’s worth bearing in mind it counts towards your overall lease cost, so the more you pay upfront, the lower your ongoing monthly payments will be.
At Let’sTalk Leasing, we take several factors into account when calculating how much to charge per month when leasing an Audi.
To reach a fair price, we consider:
The model
Contract length and mileage allowance
The car’s residual value
Any optional extras you add
Taxes (VAT) and admin costs
To ensure you’re getting a competitive deal, we offer a price match promise, so if you see a better lease deal elsewhere, contact our team and we’ll do what we can to match (or better) the price you’ve seen.
Who is responsible for maintenance and servicing when leasing an Audi?
Once you’ve leased your vehicle, you are responsible for maintaining and servicing it.
How you choose to do this is up to you.
You can either arrange maintenance and servicing independently or add our comprehensive maintenance package to your deal.
Many customers choose to add our maintenance package to their agreement for convenience and ease of budgeting.
Our maintenance package includes:
All scheduled maintenance and services, as per your vehicle manufacturer’s schedule
Unlimited tyre replacements
Mechanical and electrical replacements and repairs due to fair wear and tear
Replacement of perishable items
MOT tests
Comprehensive breakdown and roadside assistance cover
They do not include any repairs or replacements that may be required because of theft, malicious damage, or driver fault.
Neither does it cover the replacement or repair of any glass, like the windscreen.
What happens when my Audi lease agreement comes to an end?
One of the best things about leasing is how flexible it is.
You get to drive around in a brand-new Audi and then after two to four years, you simply give the car back to the leasing company – no need to worry about depreciation or the hassle of selling it.
After you’ve returned the car, you can decide whether you want to walk away or upgrade to a newer vehicle and take out another lease.
Top tips for a smooth leasing experience
Want to ensure your first experience leasing a car is smooth sailing?
At Let’sTalk Leasing, we’ve helped thousands of people find the perfect car and lease deal for them.
We’ve put together some of our best advice to help you avoid common pitfalls and enjoy a smooth, stress-free leasing experience.
Know what you’re looking for: Before you start shopping around for deals, define exactly what you want. This doesn’t have to be a particular manufacturer or model; instead, it could be the number of seats, boot capacity, safety features, fuel type, or tech requirements. Knowing what you want or need before you begin your search will make it easier to narrow down your options.
Stick to your budget: Before you start looking at cars, set a realistic monthly budget. Don’t forget to factor in things like the initial rental fee, maintenance, and servicing costs.
Be realistic about mileage: When creating your tailored lease deal, always allow a little more than what you think you’ll need when setting your annual mileage allowance to avoid expensive excess mileage charges at the end of the lease.
Evaluate lease terms carefully: Don’t sign on the dotted line until you’ve studied the terms of the contract carefully and you’re sure you understand all costs involved.
Keep up with maintenance and servicing: Regular maintenance and servicing will help to keep your car looking shiny and new and avoid incurring wear and tear charges at the end of your lease.
Plan for your next car early: If you plan to upgrade to a new car at the end of your lease, start researching your options before your agreement comes to an end to ensure a smooth transition.
